Our approach

San Jose Ballet Association (SJBA)
is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that was created in 1972 as a performing arts and education organization. SJBA’s founders are dedicated to offering Bay Area ballet students high quality performing opportunities and dance enrichment programs for the local communities.

Your donation helps us….

  • With your support, we can ensure that all aspiring dancers, regardless of their background, have access to professional training and opportunities to excel through scholarships.

  • By sponsoring events like our annual Nutcracker performance at the Mountain View Centre for the Performing Arts, you’re ensuring we can secure rehearsal spaces, cover essential insurance costs, and provide quality costumes while providing our communities with opportunites to perform and see live works of art. Your support also helps us hire professional dancers to work with our students, transport sets, and promote our mission of extended quality dance training to the Bay Area and beyond.

  • With your generosity, we can keep the ballet spirit in the Bay alive and blossoming. Whether it’s an outreach performance at a local library, or a fully staged production, your donation keeps big dreams alive.
